ACCESSIBILITY

We consider dismantling inequities to be a part of our mission, which is why The Root Social Justice Center strives to be a physically and financially accessible in our space, programming, and actions.

What this looks like at The Root:

  • Queer & Trans-affirming

  • Wheelchair-accessible and gender-neutral bathroom

  • Two wheelchair-accessible parking spaces

  • Use of the space is by donation

  • The Root does allow dogs and has furry visitors from time to time.

  • ASL interpretation available upon request

  • Childcare available upon request

  • We are striving to be fragrance free*

  • Nut-free environment (peanut & tree nut)

*We cannot guarantee that events hosted at The Root that are organized by outside entities will have interpretation, assist with childcare needs, or that they are fragrance-free, but we encourage groups using The Root to explore how to make their events and gatherings accessible in these ways.

If you have feedback or suggestions on how we can continue to increase accessibility at The Root, please use the contact page to let us know!
