About this workshop:

Approaching Autism with Curiosity

In a world that bombards us with messages about how we should parent—what’s “normal,” what’s “right,” and what’s “best”—it can feel overwhelming to trust your own instincts, especially when your child doesn’t fit into the mold those messages are built around. Parenting an autistic child often comes with added layers of uncertainty, misunderstanding, and pressure to conform, which can leave you feeling like you’re constantly falling short.

This talk will offer a different path—one rooted in curiosity. We’ll explore how curiosity can become a powerful tool in your parenting, starting with a deeper understanding of your own nervous system and how it shapes the way you respond to your child. From there, we’ll look at how to apply that same curiosity to your child’s behavior, seeing it not as something to manage or fix, but as communication to be understood.

You’ll walk away with practical tools to shift from reactivity to connection, and from judgment to compassion—building a relationship with your child that’s grounded in trust, collaboration, and greater ease.
